Plantae Novae Hispaniae of Sésse and Mocino is essentially without plates, but in the text references are made to illustrations (Fl. Mex. Ic. or Ic. only followed by a number. The illustrations were long lost but are now preserved as the Torner collection at the Hunt institute for botanical documentation. The number of the plates is written on the sheets and correspond to the tables mentioned in the text. Links:
